It might seem ridiculously early to be thinking about Halloween, but it's always better to be prepared! I'm basically a giant mermaid girl scout ;)
Today I drew out final designs for the Dia de los Muertos costume that will form the centrepiece of our new range of dark acts for 2015 - of course for Halloween but also for events throughout the year with themes like dreams and nightmares themes, gothic themes, and even dark fairytale themes.
If you've noticed the big skull on the left, it's a doodle that I drew last Halloween in airports and planes while travelling to Belfast to perform at one of the biggest Halloween events in Northern Ireland!
This is the 'Dia de los Muertos' make-up and hair that I did while working at a Halloween ball in Cambridge.
The old costume (pics below) was just a whole bunch of stuff that I found in my wardrobe. (Yes, there's a full-scale ballgown in my wardrobe)
The new version of the costume will have an even bigger, purpose-built headdress, and even more complex makeup. I'm so excited to start! :D
